iOS Emergency Group Calls
Any "Enterprise Closed" group created in the portal may be configured for individual users as an Emergency Call Group. Once the client settings are adjusted for each user, the Emergency call capability will be reflected on the screen by a red tab. Ruggedized phones with dedicated side PTT SOS button may be configured to trigger the Emergency PTT call. An Emergency call, when initiated, sends an insistent visual flashing signal and pulls recipients into the call until they acknowledge it. When the caller ends the Emergency call status, the call may be ended as just a usual call. Multiple callers may escalate a call into Emergency status. Press and hold the red "Hold for Emergency" button on your screen for three seconds to initiate call. This automatically triggers the call to the configured group. No need to highlight the Emergency. All group. You'll see an insistent visual flash in addition to the loud tone. All members of the group will be pulled into the call. |
All members of the group will be pulled into the call and must acknowledge the call via the three dot menu. Multiple members of the group may escalate the call to Emergency status. Call members who are in Emergency will be shown in red in the in call list. If nobody in the Emergency group is available, you'll see a message offering you the chance to keep trying or to deescalate the call. |
In order to end the call, the initiator must press and hold the emergency on screen button to de escalate the call. Then you may end the call like any other PTT call. |
