iOS Call Kit
Call Kit is the the interface provided by Apple to allow access to our application's audio when our app is in the background or the device's screen is locked. Previous versions of iOS displayed the call kit screen with a red "X" for ending the PTT call. For iOS 14, the call kit behavior is not visible. Instead, the grey notification bar will appear on the screen, offering the option to end the call from there, or go to the app. For users who need assistance with earlier versions of iOS, please contact ESChat Support.
iOS Call Kit Interaction
iOS 14
Apple made the call screen more discrete. It is only available if the user is in a phone call with the ESChat Call Priority set to None. If, while in a phone call, a PTT call is received, use the red "X" to end the call. Here is a demo Video.
iOS 12 & 13 at lock screen
If the screen is locked when a PTT call comes in, press the power button, then the home button to bring up the call kit. Use the red "X" to end the call. Here is a demo Video.
iOS 12 at home screen
Go to the home screen. Once the screen locks, get a PTT call. The call kit comes up automatically. Press the red "X" to end the call. Here is a demo Video.
