Overview of Mesages for iOS
ESChat includes functionality to send encrypted multimedia messaging to individual ESChat contacts or groups. Messaging includes both text and image attachments, each of which are secured with AES-256 encryption. From the messages tab, you can see the number of recipients who have both received and opened your sent messages. Administrators may configure whether messages are stored on the ESChat server after delivery. Options include a set storage duration or immediate removal following delivery. Messages may be initiated from any tab in the app.
The red number on the messages tab icon indicates that number of received messages. Reach messages by pressing the message tab icon. |
When opened, the message tab displays the list of 1:1, ad hoc or group messages. The envelopes and arrow labels display information about the message. This label includes either the sender or the recipient for 1:1 calls. A group message will display the group name in parentheses. The date and time of the message is listed to the right of the name. Below the name is the message icon followed by either the first line of message text, or if the message includes an image, the image will be shown with an attachment icon. Click on an individual message, and you may reply or forward this message. |
