Overview of the Channel Tab
The channel tab may be enabled by your administrator to replace the classic groups tab. The channel tab is designed for a more radio-centric view for use with hybrid networks. The channel tab presents groups as channels, and and allows for multiple group monitoring with priority scanning, similar to radio operation. To see administrator instructions for enabling channel mode on a device, click here.
The Channel tab displays a list according to alphabetical order unless your administrator has set the channels in a particular numerical order. Swipe a channel to the left to see the channel members and presence displayed. Press the device back button to return to channel tab. |
From the channel tab, you may send a message to the members of a channel. You may search for a channel. You may also add a personal or member group to your device using the instructions (here). |
You may choose up to four channels to monitor at a time. |
The dwell timer functions as a place holder for the channel you have selected as your TX channel. When you TX to another channel, the dwell timer will appear in the primary spot. The dwell timer will only appear if your admin has configured it. |
