ESChat supports real-time Live Location Mapping while in call. The Map Tab displays a particular contact's current physical location, finds all contacts in a particular area, and places calls to contacts based on location. Administrators can configure location services on a device by device basis, so not all users will see a map tab.
The map display: the user is represented by the blue dot. The green pin represents another user in the same location.
Open the map settings to choose the view (standard, hybrid or satellite). You may set the cluster threshold (where users grouped together will be represented by a number) and you may also choose to show all contacts. Show All Contacts will clear the current contact selection and expand the map to show all contacts for this user.
Tap the refresh icon to refresh map data. The map view is automatically refreshed every ten minutes when ESChat is idle, and every four seconds during a call. You can click the Refresh button to force an immediate refresh, based on the latest information from the server, of the Map View, and the location of any contacts within that view.
Set the Zoom Lock to keep the view of the map stable on its current focus.
The Tracking icon: When first selected, the map is typically centered on your location. You can move the map to view other geographical locations. If you click on this icon, tracking will be enabled, and the map will center based on your current location. While tracking is on, if you change locations the map will follow, keeping your location at the center of the map display.
