Activate ESChat for iOS

Install and activate ESChat on an iOS smartphone or tablet by following the prompts from an activation message or by manually typing in the activation code for the device's user.  The following contains instructions to activate via an SMS or email activation message or manually via an activation code. 

The initial activation process includes a series of permission prompts, which must be allowed for optimal functioning.

Activate via Activation Message

Use this method if the device has access to an email account or it has a valid phone number, SMS text message service, and a cellular carrier signal. The company must also have the send text option enabled in order to send the code via text. This device will also need to have an active App store account. Follow the procedure outlined below to finish the installation process with just a few taps on the device.  For best results, use your LTE signal to complete the initial activation.

Open Message and Download ESChat

Step 1: Open Message. Tap on the email or SMS message received from ESChat to open the activation link

Step 2: Download ESChat: Selecting "Download ESChat" opens the App store site for the ESChat application download.  Select Install. If you have already downloaded ESChat, skip to step 3.

Step 3: Activate ESChat: Return to the Activation message, and select the “Sign in to ESChat” link. ESChat will then complete the activation process.

Device Permission Prompts

Please accept and approve all device permission settings prompts for full functionality.

Next, follow a series of device permission prompts.

Select "Allow" for notifications.

Select "OK" so the app may access the microphone.

Activate via Manual Activation

Install ESChat manually if it is not possible to receive SMS or email communication on the device.  Go to the App store and search for ESChat. 

Step 1: Install. Open the App Store, search for ESChat, and select "Get"

Step 2: Open and Enter Activation Code Select "Open" and type the Activation Code provided to you by ESChat or your Customer Administrator. The user name is not necessary and will auto complete after activation.  The code is not case sensitive.  Press "Sign In."

ESChat will complete the activation process.  Please accept and approve any device permission settings prompts for full functionality, as shown above.
