Configure OAuth Devices
ESChat customers may use Active Directory or OAuth login IDs to facilitate multiple shifts of workers to share a single licensed device. Instead of activation codes, the devices’ serial numbers will be added to ESChat under the Devices tab. Each user then signs in via their Active Directory or OAuth username. The Customer must provision and configure their own OAuth server and add users to that according to the server requirements. After that step has been completed, enable OAuth for the customer, configure devices, and add user OAuth names.
Enable OAuth
Begin at the Profile tab.
Along the bottom row, find and select the Enable OAuth tab.
In the resulting popup window, fill out the fields with the required information from the OAuth server. Press submit when the information is complete.
Add Devices
From within the department, select the Devices tab. Select Add.
In the resulting popup window, add the device ID. Usually, this is the name of a shift or role, for example "Shipping4."
Add OAuth Names to Users
Add a new user or edit an existing user. In the popup window for users, fill in the OAuth name. This is the login name that was entered into the OAuth server and they must match exactly. This OAuth name is how the user will log into the device. Press Submit.
Log in to an OAuth Device
The first OAuth login to a device will first bring up an OAuth login screen. There will be a prompt to add the OAUth username and the OAuth password that was first entered into the OAuth server.
