Upgrade the JPS RSP-Z2 Gateway for the FedRAMP Environment
Your new JPS RSP-Z2 Gateway will need to be updated to the most current version. In order to work within the fedRAMP environment, it will need to be Build 1, Version 4.7.2. Here are the instructions for upgrading the software.
Download Latest Firmware
Navigate to the JPS website. Under products, select Communications Gateways and then RSP-Z2.
Scroll all the way down the page and select latest firmware.
Save the download to your desktop or other selected location.
Login to JPS
At this point, be sure to connect your laptop to the actual hardware via the ethernet cable connection, if you have not already done so. For more information, see the resources provided by JPS.
Login to JPS.
The login will show the version. The RSP - Z2 needs to be updated in order to be FedRAMP compliant.

Under the Admin tab, select "Software update." software update. Complete the prompts.
Open the downloaded file from the saved location.
Select upload.
See the confirmation window.
The processing time may be as long as 2-3 minutes.
Be sure to let the process run to completion.
After that, the system will turn itself off automatically reboot.
After the reboot, the login screen appears.
Log in and check the version number. The RSP - Z2 update is complete and ready for use in the FedRAMP environment.
