Answer a PTT Call from an Android Lockscreen
Android devices may have different behaviors based upon the security settings for the device itself. If there is a PIN, a biometric, or other security step that is necessary to open the phone, that step needs to be completed first before opening the app. If the device uses a supported PTT action, such as a configured side button or other supported accessory, the call may be answered with the supported PTT action in place of the touchscreen.
By default, ESChat users are set to have the phone display wake upon PTT call start, and to foreground the app upon an incoming PTT call. These settings are required for ESChat to operate as described above on lock screens. These settings are configurable from within the admin portal, individually or by using templates, and from the ESChat settings on the device, so the behavior may be different depending on end-user setting adjustments when applicable.
