iOS Alert Calls
An alert call functions as a request rather than a "barge," and the intended recipient may answer or ignore the call. If the request is declined, the caller may leave a message.
Alert Calls from the Contact List
Begin at the contacts tab. Select a recipient. Swipe to the right and press the alert signal icon. |
If your contact is not available, you'll have the opportunity to leave a message. Otherwise, your recipient will answer or decline the call. |
If the recipient chooses to answer the call, the call widget appears and the call will proceed as usual for any 1:1 call. |
Alert Calls from the Map
Alert calls may be initiated from the map. You may select your contact from the contact screen, slide the contact tab and select the map pin. Or, you may press any green pin on the map to bring up the user information box.
From the contacts tab, slide a contact to the right and tap the map pin. |
The user's pin will appear on the map. Tap the pin to expand the information. Tap the blue information circle. |
In the expanded information section, select Alert Call. |
If the call is accepted, it will proceed as a regular PTT call. Tap the map tab to view the map during the call. |
