The Default Callee setting allows you to configure a contact or group for one touch PTT call from the screen, a dedicated side PTT button, or connected Bluetooth device. Devices that have a default callee will always display a green PTT screen rather than the default gray. The Default Callee can be configured from the Admin Portal or the user's device. Devices set in Channel Mode will not have a Default Callee, as the chosen channel becomes the defacto default.
Set the Default Callee in the Admin Portal
You may configure multiple devices in the admin portal by creating a template for the default callee and adding selected users to it, as shown below. To learn more about templates, click here.
|Alternatively, you can select a single user, click on "Edit Client Settings." In the Modify Client Settings popup window, under the Call tab, click on the default callee window.|
|Scroll through the users and groups available to select the intended default callee. Press Submit when you are finished. When the user's device is refreshed, the device will have the selected default callee.|
Set the Default Callee on an Android Device
The default callee setting is for devices set to the default groups mode. Devices in channel mode do not have an option to choose a default callee. Start by going to the context menu for a user. You'll choost "set default callee" to select that user. The default callee's star will turn green. In channel mode, the long press menu will give you the option to set the user on the channel list. You will still need to manually hit TX to make that user your default callee. For more information on context menus for the Android client, click here.

Set the Default Callee on an iPhone or iPad
For iOS devices. you may choose a default callee from the Settings Menu or from the context menu. in iOS, the Default Callee will not have an indicator of the identity of the default callee. The PTT screen will be green, which indicates that there is a user or group default callee.

|From the users or groups tab, press the blue information circle to reach the iOS context menu. Select "Set Default Callee." In channel mode, the option will change to set to channel list.|
