Bulk Create Externally Homed Groups Template

Creating externally homed groups with a bulk template requires the details of the radio group parameters that has been set up in the radio system.  First configure a group within the Admin Portal and then add users to the group.

 

Field Menu Type Description
Action Drop Down  Required. Confirm action to create an external group.
Customer Fill In Required. Fill in the name of the customer as it is listed in the portal.
Network Fill In Required. Fill in the name of the external network. 
Alias Fill In Required. Fill in the name of the group as it is listed in the external network. 
Department Fill In Required. Fill in the name of the ESChat Department that will house the group.
Group Name Fill In Required. Fill in the name of the group as it will be displayed on the devices. For example TAC.CH.01.
Group Description Fill In Optional. This field will be spoken aloud if the call setting "Play Channel Sounds" is enabled. If left blank, the group name will be spoken aloud. For example, "Tactical Channel 1." 
Group Priority Drop Down Required. Choose the priority level of the group.
Caller Option Drop Down Required. Choose from Member (in a closed group) or Anyone (in an open group).
Searchable Drop Down Required. Choose yes or no to indicate if the group is searchable for non members.
Allow Hiding Drop Down Required. Choose yes or no to indicate whether this group may be hidden from device lists.
Alert on Call Start Drop Down Required. Choose yes or no if each member should get an alert upon call start. 
Cleanup Call Drop Down

Required. Choose from the options of without initiator, with one active member or with zero active members to determine how the call may end.
Max Talk Burst Duration Drop Down Required. Choose from 30 seconds to 360 seconds, in increments of 30 seconds.
Idle Timeout Fill In Required. Must be a value between 30 seconds and 7200 seconds.
Listen Only Drop Down Required. Choose whether or not this group includes listen only members.
Large Group Drop Down Required. Choose NO. The large group feature is not currently available for external configurations.
