Bulk Add Groups Template

To add groups in bulk, fill out the template according to the table below.  All required fields must be completed. Click here for a complete set of instructions. For more information on adding a single group, click here.

 

Field Menu Type Description
Action Drop down Required. Fill in the action item from the available drop down menu. 
Customer Fill in Required.  Fill in the name of the customer. It must exactly match the customer name as it appears in the admin portal. 
Department Fill in Required. Fill in the name of the department.  It must exactly match the customer name as it appears in the admin portal. 
Group Name Fill in Required. The name that will display in the portal and on the group member devices. The name must contain fewer than 32 characters and contain no spaces.  This is the name that will appear on the devices. Examples are Sector.North.4 or Tac.Alpha. 
Group Description Fill in Optional. This information will display on the group settings tab. There is limited space on the device display for the description, so best practice is to keep it to one or two words. 
Group Priority Drop down Required. May be assigned from 0-5.  Higher priority groups can interrupt other ongoing PTT calls and pull in members. 
Caller Option Drop down Required. Select Member or Anyone from the drop down menu.  An open group will allow anyone to call; a closed group means that only members may have calling privileges. 
Searchable Drop down Required.  Select Yes or No from the drop down menu.
Allow Hiding Drop down Required.  Select Yes or No from the drop down menu.
Alert on Call Start Drop down  Required.  Select Yes or No from the drop down menu if the start of a call should send an alert to the device.
Cleanup Call Drop down  Required.  Determines conditions for PTT call to end.  Choose from Without Initiator, With one Active Member, or Zero Active Members.
Max Talk Burst Duration Drop down Required.  The time, in seconds, of the maximum voice burst. 
Idle Timeout Fill in Required.  Enter the number of seconds between 30 and 7200, whichever is the most suitable for this group type. 
Listen Only Drop down Required.  Enter Yes or No.  Allows members to be created with Listen Only permissions.
Large Groups Drop Down Required. For groups over 255 members. Not available for all customers.  This option is currently available for customers in the AWS-US portal, GovCloud portal, and the Canadian Telus portal.
