Customer Profile Information
The Customer Profile Tab displays detailed information for each enterprise, including billing status, the date of company creation, server information and ports. There are five actionable tabs at the bottom of this page.
OAuth
The Enable OAuth tab is appropriate for customers who wish to have different users sign into the same device for shift work. This option requires an OAuth server outside of ESChat. Contact ESChat Support for further information and assistance.
Idle Timeout Configuration
The Call Idle Timeout Config tab allows you to customize the ad hoc call idle timeout period for every user in your organization. The server default timer for both barge and alert calls is 30 seconds. This means that after the end of an ad hoc barge or alert call, the call will end 30 seconds after the last PTT button is released. The best setting depends on the customer use case. Some customers find that 30 seconds is too long, and shorten it to 10 or 15 seconds. Note: this setting does not affect set idle timeouts for group calls, as those are configurable for each group.
From the Profile Tab, select Call Idle Timeout Config. In the resulting popup window, make your adjustments. When finished, select Submit.
Client Side Playback
ESChat offers a recorded talk burst option, enabled at the company level, where calls may be recorded and kept (depending on call amounts) for playback for a 24 hour period after the call. This feature is available on the Recents Tab for Android and iOS Clients but must be enabled here, in the Customer Profile section. To enable (or disable) this option, select Client Side Recording.
Click Enable or Disable, and select Submit.
The final step is to affirm the disclaimer statement.
Set Default Screen to Show Groups
Clients may use the app in Groups or Channel mode. Upon customer creation, all clients are set to display in channel mode. To change this default, click on the tab, and in the popup window, select the tab "Set Default Screen to Show Channels." Then, click Submit. This action may be reversed at any time and will apply to any new users added to the customer.
Send Text
Companies may choose to enable the send text feature company wide. Enabling "Send Text" allows devices to receive activation texts during registration. By default, this feature is disabled. Devices may activate manually using a code or via an email activation. To enable this feature, click the button and then select Enable. Press submit when you are finished.
The next popup window prompts a confirmation of the policy statement.
Activation Code Expiry
Customer Admins may create time sensitive activation codes for users. Users who do not register with ESChat within 30 days will require a resending of the activation code in order to register devices.
