Emergency PTT Calls
Any "Enterprise Closed" group created in the portal may be configured for individual users as an Emergency Call Group. Once the client settings are adjusted for each user, the Emergency call capability will be reflected on the screen by a red tab. Ruggedized phones with dedicated side PTT SOS button may be configured to trigger the Emergency PTT call. An Emergency call, when initiated, sends an insistent visual flashing signal and pulls recipients into the call. When the call initiator ends the Emergency call status, the call may be ended as just a usual call, with an idle timeout or a manual exit. Multiple callers may escalate a call into Emergency status. | Press and hold the red "Hold for Emergency" banner on screen for three seconds to initiate the call. All available group members will see an insistent visual flash in addition to the loud tone. |
| All available members of the group will be pulled into the call. Multiple members of the group may escalate the call to Emergency status. Call members who are in Emergency will be shown in red in the in call list. If nobody in the Emergency group is available, the caller will see a message that the call cannot reach any members. |
