PC Client 1:1 and Adhoc Calls
All PC Clients should have the Feature Keys configured to show groups, even if all of the devices show channels. For more information about Feature Keys, please click here.
1:1 or Ad Hoc Group Push to Talk (PTT)
Step 1: Navigate to the Contacts tab, and select the user(s) to receive the PTT call. For an ad hoc call, hold the control key down and click on up to 128 users.
Step 2: Click and hold on the Push to Talk button. Wait approximately 1-3 seconds to allow for the receivers to be pulled into the call, and begin speaking.
*Note: This wait time is only necessary on the initial floor grant connection; there is no need to wait on further transmissions.
*Note: You may also press and hold a configured shortcut key combination. The space bar is the default shortcut key.
Step 3: When finished speaking, release the Push to Talk button, and the call state will change to Idle. At this point, the floor is open for the receiver(s) to respond.
Step 4: To finish the call for all members of the call at the same time, allow the Idle Floor Time setting to automatically end this call after 30 seconds of no traffic. You may also end your presence in the call at any time by clicking on the End Call button.
*Note: When End Call is selected, this will end the call for both users on a 1:1 PTT call, but only ends the call for the manually closed user while the other members will remain in the group call until the Idle Timeout is reached.
