Make a Channel Call from a D-Pad Device

Channel Calls If you have a default callee channel selected, initiate a call by pressing your device's side PTT button at any time.  If you have multiple channels on standby, you must begin on the channel tab.  

Beginning at the channel tab, choose the channel and highlight using the directional pad center button.  When the TX turns green, press the side PTT button and begin speaking.  You'll see the "Transmitting" message to show that you have the floor.

Release the side PTT button when you are finished speaking.  At that time, the channel will display "In-Call Idle" and another member of the channel may take the floor.  To view the in-call screen and see who is in the call, long press on the channel with the directional pad to bring up the secondary menu, and scroll down to select In-Call Screen.

The In-Call screen dsiplays the members of the channel who are taking part in the call.  To end the call, let the call end in an idle timeout or press the back button, long press on the channel to bring up the secondary menu, and select Disable Channel.
