Activate Siyata SD7
The Siyata SD7 product is a dedicated PTT device which requires network services and backend setup within the ESChat portal prior to the activation process. The following instructions include first, the automatic process via a SIM card and then, the activation process.
Activate With a SIM Card
Power On
| Power on the device. Wait for the network to auto connect. |
Device Auto Provision
| The device will begin the auto provisioning process which includes the silent install of ESChat. Next, the screen will display "Communicating with the cloud server." |
| The screen will indicate that it is checking for updates. |
| Provision complete. |
Sign into ESChat
| Press the PTT key to launch the application to begin an automatic sign in via the IMEI. The screen will show "PTT Activating." |
Ready for Use
| Your SD7 is now ready for use. |
Activate Using WiFi
To set up the device using WiFi, you'll need to connect the device to the available WiFi network, and then restart the device in order to finish the process of activating ESChat.
Power On
| Power on the device. |
Connect to WiFi
| Press down on the multifunction channel knob, and then rotate the knob to reach "Network." Press down on the knob once again, and rotate to select WiFi. |
| Press down on the knob again. Rotate the knob to select your network. Press down on the knob to select this network. |
| Enter the password by scrolling through the keyboard and pressing down to make your selection. Be sure to click on the checkmark when the password has been entered. Once the device has connected to the network, power the device off and then on again to successfully connect and provision ESChat. |
