Siyata SD7
The Siyata SD7 is a dedicated PTT device for use with ESChat with an available dedicated wired mic. It arrives ready to auto install and provision. As shown above, this device has a limited screen and a single multifunction control knob. Navigate the device via a press or rotation of the multifunction knob in order to view channels, enter menus, and accept settings. For activation instructions, please click here.
Navigating ESChat on the SD7
The following images are representations of the device's OLED screens, for clarity.
After provision and activation is complete, upon start up the device will display the name of the currently selected channel as well as "PTT Online." This is the default display when not in-call. Rotating the multi-function knob cycles through available channels and is accompanied by an audio announcement of the channel number. |
ESChat Secondary Menu
ESChat's secondary menu is reached by pressing the multifunction knob and then rotating the knob to view the options. Press down on the knob to select the menu item.
Pressing the multifunction knob opens a secondary menu within the app. Press the knob to show the first option, "Show current channel." Press again to confirm and return to the channel display. |
Rotating the knob after "Show current channels" cycles through the remaining options: if your ESChat user has been configured to make "Sign out" available, that screen is one of the selections. Selecting the "About PTT" option and rotating through the resulting sub menu will display the following items: Version User name IMEI Server Full name Customer Copyright |
Select "Back" to return to the default ESChat display. The "Exit" screen takes you out of ESChat and into the date and time screen for the device. |
To get back to ESChat, rotate the knob to reach "PTT" and press and rotate to reach "Show current channel." Select "Show current channel" to reach the ESChat idle screen.
SD7 Device Menu
From the device date and time stamp, you are in the device options for the Siyata SD7. If you have reached this menu in error, follow the steps below to get back to ESChat.
If you reach this screen, you have reached the Siyata System SD7 secondary menu. To return to ESChat, scroll through the options and and select "PTT." |
Once "PTT" has been selected, the screen will display ""Show current channel." Select to reach the ESChat idle screen. |

Please note the the "Support" option in this menu is for Siyata support, not ESChat. Select "PTT" and then "Show Current Channels" to return to ESChat.
