Identify Device OS and ESChat Application Version from the Admin Portal

There are two ways to check the application version, from the device itself and from the Admin Portal.  This information is very important and is one of the first details confirmed as part of any troubleshooting process, as we recommend updating to the most current build for best functionality.

Admin Portal

Customer Administrators can view the device operating system and the ESChat application version for each user.   This information can be found in the ESChat Admin Portal, under the Users Tab. 

Detected Client Type shows the operating system of the device; the client software list shows the application build.  The information available in the portal should match the user About screen.  

Device About Screen

On Android devices,  tap on the three bars in the upper left hand corner to open the Navigation Drawer. 

Open the Navigation Drawer and scroll down to select About.  This process is the same on Android smartphones and D-pad devices.

On iOS devices, tap the three dot menu in the top right hand corner of the screen.

From the More menu, tap the About screen.
