Correct Expired Activation Codes
All new users have a window of fifteen days after initial creation to register with ESChat. After that, the activation code will expire. Users who attempt registration after activation code expiry will see error code 57. Users should contact their customer admins to adjust the expired code. Codes may be adjusted for one user or many. Note: this process does not apply to all deployments.
Navigate to User List
The user list will show that a user or users have never registered, and their activation codes have expired. Since no users have been selected, the delete or edit boxes are not available.
Select Users for Modification
clicking on a user and checking the box highlights the users and makes the edit box available.
Click the edit box and see the pop up window.
Click on Activation Code to reach the drop down menu.
Select Option
The default option of No Change will not change the code or the expired state. Keep this selected if your users are going to be further delayed in activation. When users expect to activate, open up this window and select one of the two remaining options.
The Unexpire/Resend option is for users who are registered with an IMEI number. This choice effectively resets the clock on the activation code and resends the activation link, dependent on the customer enabling the Send Text option for user activation.
To generate a new code and link, select Create New.
Be sure to click on Submit after choosing.
