Pair the Aina PTT Smart Button for use with your ESChat app in Android and iOS

iOS Devices

Confirm that the Aina Smart Button is turned on and within 30 feet of the smartphone. Clear the Smart Button by holding down all 3 buttons.

The large button will grow red when it is cleared, and then turn green when it is ready to pair. 

Go to the iOS device settings.  Enable Bluetooth and pair the device. In the ESChat app, press the "More" tab and then "Settings."  Select "PTT Button." In the drop down menu, select Bluetooth LE.  Press the PTT button to encourage the connection.  See the confirmation of the device and picture. 

Press the back arrow to reach the app settings menu, and see that the device is listed there as shown in the example below.  Make sure that "Allow Bluetooth Audio" is turned on.   Press "Done" to exit out of the Client Settings Menu,  and your device is now ready for use.

Go to the Android device settings.  Enable Bluetooth and pair the device by scanning for available devices and select the Aina Smart Button from the list.  

*Note: The device will be identified by the part number found on the back of the button.  

Additionally, Android will show as “Paired” but not “Connected”.  This does not affect the operation of the button and is expected.

In ESChat, go to "Settings" and select "PTT Button." Select "Bluetooth LE" as the connection type.  See the connection message that the button is connected and enabled.
