Feature Key Template for SD7
The SD7 is a PTT Specific device and cannot utilize all of the Feature Keys. It will function with the available features. We recommend configuring the SD7 in a template as shown below. This can also be done on an individual basis.
The feature that is most critical to have turned off is the Messaging Feature. It won't work on the SD7 in any case, but this will help any contacts that use smartphone devices and try to message this user.
|Allow Contact Management||Allow user to perform contact management. This is not applicable for the SD7 as there is no contact screen available.||Off|
|Allow Deactivation||Allow user to deactivate app. Technically, a user may sign out of the SD7 but signing back in is a laborious process.||Off|
|Show Map on Client||Not applicable for SD7, as there is no map screen.||Off|
|Show Channels||Show channels as default display.||On|
|Allow Group Management||Not applicable for SD7. The SD7 cannot search for or create groups on the device.||Off|
