Feature Key Template for SD7
The SD7 is a PTT Specific device and cannot utilize all of the Feature Keys. It will function with the available features. Best practices include creating a separate department for SD7 devices only and then including them in a template so that all devices have a uniform setting. Please reach out to ESChat Support for assistance if necessary.
A feature that is critical to have turned off is the Messaging Feature. It won't work on the SD7 in any case, but this will help any contacts that use smartphone devices and try to message this user. A feature that must be set to on is Single Channel Isolation. If this feature is not turned on, the SD7 will operate in scan mode.
The SD7 requires ESChat app version 5.0 for SD7. Please reach out to support to verify app version and server version if necessary.
Management Features

If the SD7 is not set to Single Channel Isolation, it will operate in a "scan" or multi call monitor fashion. For best practices, adjust the idle timeout for each group to a lower time frame (set to 5 or 10 seconds down from the default of 30 seconds) in order to facilitate smoother call monitoring.
